WW Run Down...

I have been overwhelmed with the love and support during my WW journey and the fact that I have even "inspired" 1 person to take that leap is amazing! I have gotten a lot of questions and I thought I would try my best to give you my run down, advice and things that help me. I might be a little all over the place so stick with me here!
First off, just because I am telling you something does not mean I do it 100% of the time. I screw up so much but I get right back on top of things. Second this truly is NOT a diet and this isn't a over night fix. This is a full on lifestyle change! I have been doing WW for 21 weeks and lost 20 pounds which is the normal for a WW plan. 
- I could never do a diet where I had to omit something I loved or solely eat cooked chicken and a veggie. With cooking being my passion I LOVE that I still try out new recipe after new recipe!
- I eat 95% at home. Now I take my lunch to work with me and we only go out for maybe 1 dinner and 1 lunch during the week... that has been HUGELY helpful to me. 
This is an average week of food I buy and eat............
 You have to change things......I LOVE hearty breakfast food and sweets but Matt and I have found a way to bring a bit of that in our weekend routine. We do egg white omelet with spinach and fat free cheese then cinnamon sugar toast on wheat every weekend! And no I do not get tired of it....I LOVE it! And every single day for 21 weeks I have 2 hard boiled eggs (whites only) and a 100% whole wheat english muffin (no butter, but with grape jelly) for breakfast! It never gets old to me....yet!
You HAVE to plan ahead....plan out everything you will eat in everyday. My morning snack now that I am in a office is fat free cottage cheese (1/2 cup) and 1/4 cup mandarin oranges in 100% jiuce. This is around 3 points.
 I eat an apple every single day.....this is a 0 point snack and for just 1 point I have a WW brand string cheese with!
I can not live without dessert so we don't! During the week I might have a WW ice cream or even a piece of chocolate that will usually satisfy my sweet tooth! On the weekends I always make WW recipe desserts from the WW cookbooks/pinterest/SkinnyTastse! 
Coffee is essentially 0 points if you don't add much sugar or cream (I don't like my coffee sweet) so now that I am in an office I will have 2 cups in the morning to help with any mid-morning hunger before my morning snack!
When I wasn't working I would have 1 can Progresso 1-2 WW point soup and some crackers for lunch. Well, now I need much more to get me thru the rest of my day at work....so this has been an adjustment. I always try to make double at night so I can bring the rest to work for lunch! I plan out every lunch for the coming week on Sunday.
 I am not a HUGE fan of the frozen meals but I have found some I like, so at work I need something more with it....so a salad with Fat free dressing (or homemade) can be 1 point! ( you see my chocolate dessert?)!
TIP! DO NOT drink your calories! No pop or juice.....water and tea (unsweetened)only!
 Another lunch time option below is the oldie but goodie soup and salad! I always pack my lunch the night before. I pack 2 snacks also.
 Here is another lunch or dinner idea...that is a WW brand chicken burger patty and these steam fresh veggies....I LOVE! You can find both of these in the freezer section! The burger patty is ok, easy because you can grill it without defrosting it.
Lastly....I splurge! Heck ya I do....look at this! It happens and on this day I had a healthy breakfast and used most of my points at lunch! And I have to eat an occasional donut....I just eat it and then get back on track!

I Made a Friend!


So you all in blog world know how you can read one blog then jump over to another and before you know if you land on something great....AND.....I have. Megan lives in Columbus and reached out to me last month and we finally got to meet this past Saturday! It was our first "Blate" (Blog Date) and we met and chatted over pancakes.....which is perfect if you know me! And I embarrassingly shoved my pancakes in my face. ha! We should have taken a picture but we were just enjoying our time and getting to know one another! Making friends as an adult is weird and surprisingly hard to do so I am thrilled I officially made a new one! We will most definitely get together again and I promise to take a pic or two! Fathers Day...

I (Matt too) want to wish our Dads the happiest Father Day, if only we could snap our fingers and be there to celebrate! We are both so lucky to our Dads in our lives. Our Dads are......

Goal 1? Check!


HI!!! So I just have a minute while I am getting ready for work but guess what??? ME.....lazy, food loving ME....hit my first goal.....as of today I have lost 20 pounds! I was 176 and today I am 156! I did this the good ol' fashion way...no pills, wraps or magic cures.......plain ol' WW and eating better!
I do have another goal....I want to loose 10 more by Labor Day!
20 pounds down! Go me!

Game of......what?

Ok, first of all I am writing this Saturday so I have not seen the finale of Game of Thrones yet.....second, I have not read the books. Once I started the show 3 years ago I didn't feel the need to muddle it with the books since I loved the show so much!
Now, if you don't watch this.......then this post isn't for you! HAHA!
Red Wedding! 
This might be a bold statement but The Red Wedding episode might be the BEST episode of any show I have watched.....ever. This episode made me gasp out loud.....it was sad, horrific, amazing, shocking and I could go on for days. No one can do what HBO does for their shows.end of story.
This show was literally one my mind ALL week and I was dying to find someone at my new job that watches it so we could talk it over. (I found no one) This episode was almost a reunion, this episode was a wedding, this episode was full of emotion and I could go on and on.
I realize this is all kinda funny considering I don't watch gory horror films but HBO just does it right and I love it.

WW Update!

Hi guys..... So I am aware it has been 3 weeks since I posted about my journey in WW and they have been a rocky 3 weeks! My in-laws were in town which meant my favorite meals and then I started a new job so my body has been forging thru! I gained 3 pounds during all of that BUT I am happy to say that when I weighed in yesterday I lost those 3 and I am back at 18 pounds lost and ready to move forward!
It is more challenging with work because I am eating breakfast earlier and I am finding I need a more filling lunch to get me thru the day....so my WW points have been all over the board. I will say I am SO proud of myself...while everyone at work is munching on yummy/junk food in all of the vending machines...I have eaten my healthy snacks. AND...if you know me then you KNOW how bad I want a pack of powdered donuts or the big Texas cinnamon roll!
The biggest advantage I have is that I plan ahead. I bring lunch and 2 snacks everyday and I am finding out what works and what doesn't!
My goal is to loose those 2 pounds to round out my 20 and then we will love on to Goal #2!
